AM Tech Day is the European market event dedicated to the impact of technological innovation on the asset management industry, gathering asset managers, wealth managers, asset owners, insurers and FinTechs. For its 11th year, the event will be held on 13 October at the Palais Brongniart, Paris.

The health crisis has made it more vital than ever to communicate, talk and work online, effectively boosting the value of all tools that can do this in a fast and secure way. It has also spurred their adoption throughout the asset management industry with the early adopters effectively providing a stress test for the sector.

At the same time, technologies continue to improve, giving professional investors a better handle on the key issues affecting sustainable development and helping them adopt best practice in transparency, equity and security.

Now more than ever, the asset management industry has the means and the opportunity to reinvent itself. Thus, during AM TECH DAY we will be investigating what values and know-how, acquired or strengthened by Techs, are financial institutions going to base their client communications on.

In the company of top experts we will lay out progress made so far to allow investors to better factor in environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria, and more generally improve investment processes. We will also be analysing how financial institutions today can reduce risks of fraud and money laundering. Finally, we will also be focusing on whether asset management firms can stay competitive, by trying to answer the following questions: How can Techs help them confront the economic crisis? Are the business models and offerings primarily shaped by regulators?
